Is it possible to change New Window target to the default?
Aaron D Colaiacomo
21:51
@Ken I can check on that and get back to you
Gabriel Pivarnik

Julie, groups don't migrate to Zoom function in SAKAI for breakout rooms, right?
Alyssa Lopez
30:30
Do messages posted to the forum post to the messages box on the overview tab?
Rick Battistoni
32:54
Does peer review in Assignment folder allow all students to see everyone’s submission?
Rachael Bonoan
33:12
Is there a way to grade in Sakai (i.e. annotate the paper, rubrics, etc.)?
Shonna Ryan
34:12
Sakai does have a Rubrics tool, I believe Julie will show it to us. If not we can be sure to circle back to it at the end!
Rachael Bonoan
34:38
Thank you!

Are there any significant differences we need to be aware of with the upgrade to Sakai 20?
Shonna Ryan
39:32
@Gabriel, that is correct, you cannot use the Sakai Groups function for Zoom, you need to configure those breakout room groups separately.
Gabriel Pivarnik
40:50
@Shonna, thanks. I was hoping that might change in SAKAI 20, but I figured it wouldn't. I know last semester, I just configured the groups the same way with the same names in ZOOM so it was consistent
Aaron D Colaiacomo
41:47
@Ken nothing "major" in terms of new features but a lot of QOL changes including Assignment viewer, Test and Quizzes clarity on drafts vs live, gradebook enhancements and a student pronunciation feature. You can find all the changes at https://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/DOC/Sakai+20+Release+Notes
Shonna Ryan
41:48
@Alyssa, messages posted to forums do not also appear on the Overview tab or in Messages.
Alyssa Lopez
42:03
Thank you!
Shonna Ryan
45:13
@Rick, students to not see everyone’s submission automatically when you use the Peer Review feature in Sakai. You can choose how many you want them to see, then it pairs them up automatically.
Rick Battistoni
45:51
Thanks, Shonna. How do you set up an assignment that you want all in the class to see everyone’s submissions?
Shonna Ryan
46:39
That was a good idea @Gabriel— it would be nice if the two “groups” aspects interfaced! As far as know, none of the LMS Zoom integrations have that feature yet.
Shonna Ryan
49:11
@Rick, there is a box that says, “Number of submissions that student must review”. You would enter the total number of students in the class. So if you had 25 students, they would have to review all 25 submitted papers.
Shonna Ryan
51:52
@Rick, if that doesn’t quite meet the need there are other ways to facilitate Peer Review as well— would be happy to chat more about it!
Rick Battistoni
52:43
OK, thanks! In the past I have used Resources to have students post assignments to a folder that all can see.
Richard Grace
53:10
How can Sakai be used to give quizzes or exams within a limited time period for answering?
Shonna Ryan
54:32
@Rick, that is a definitely another good way to do Peer Review actives— I especially like having students use OneDrive so they can be more granular with comments and feedback!
Rick Battistoni
54:58
Good idea, Shonna. Thanks!

OAS usually runs longer exams, so will we be responsible for this instead? Just wondering...
Aaron D Colaiacomo
01:00:53
@Despina Sakai has a setting to allow for extended time for examinations as well as a few other softwares that we have available.
Claire Roosien
01:01:34
Is Perusall access provided through Sakai at PC?
M. Cary Collins
01:02:06
Thank you, Julie and Shonna! Very grateful since I found some new features to add. We’re doing more Excel work so wondered about TurnItIn and saw that it will do the compare on spreadsheets. Nice!
Despina Prassas
01:02:27
Can we add Kahoot to Sakai?
M. Cary Collins
